Volunteer Application


Volunteer as an Individual:

1. Complete the Volunteer Application. Make sure to fill in the section regarding your availability (days of week and time of day).

2. Save and send an electronic copy of your completed application to volunteer@scfoodbank.org or mail a paper copy to: Volunteer Coordinator, 1321 South Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801.

3. Once your application is received, you will be contacted via email or telephone. We hold New Volunteer Orientations on an as-needed basis throughout the year. All new volunteers have to complete the New Volunteer Orientation.

4. After completion of the New Volunteer Orientation program, the Volunteer Coordinator will work with new volunteers to determine a suitable schedule and volunteer job assignment.


Volunteer as a Group:


1. Have the group leader or contact person complete the Volunteer Application. Make sure to fill in all sections related to group volunteering.

2. Save and send an electronic copy of your completed application to volunteer@scfoodbank.org or mail a paper copy to: Volunteer Coordinator, 1321 South Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801. You do not need to include the names of your individual group members. The Volunteer Coordinator will collect that information closer to your group's volunteer project date.

3. Once your application is received, you will be contacted via email or telephone. Your group's application will be filed, and you will be notified when we have a special project for your group. The Food Bank's needs for volunteer groups vary throughout the year.
